Karen Gemming is a watercolour artist based on the Sunshine Coast, Australia.

Hailing from New Zealand, Karen seeks inspiration from the landscape around her and places previously travelled.

Karen applies elements of impressionism to her work. Preferring the medium of watercolour to create depth, she focuses on colour and the contrast between light and dark.

While still observant of her traditional background, she seeks to experiment and use her intuition to create evocative images. 

Karen has participated in group and solo exhibitions and sells her work from several galleries on the Sunshine Coast.
